The head of Sony Japan’s audio division made 45 identical music CDs and sent 30 to Coherence Industries.  15 were processed with Coherence technology and all 30 were returned to Sony headquarters in Japan.

In a double blind test, the Sony engineers could easily distinguish between them.  They reported that the modified CDs sounded better.

Because Coherence Technology can be applied as a material processing method, it can be applied it to any electrical, chemical, genetic, nano, or nuclear system.

Applications

The preference for CDs enhanced with Coherence Technology reflects an emerging interest in audio technologies that significantly improve sound quality. This technology's implications for innovators and product developers across various sectors could be substantial, offering a range of benefits and applications.
### Benefits to Innovators and Product Developers
1. **Superior Product Quality**:
- Applying Coherence Technology can lead to an improvement in the overall product quality, offering a competitive edge in the market, as evidenced by the enhanced sound quality reported by Sony's engineers.
2. **Broad Applicability**:
- Given its potential use in diverse fields like electrical, chemical, genetic, nano, or nuclear systems, this technology could lead to innovations across multiple industries, opening up new markets and opportunities.
3. **Enhanced Consumer Perception**:
- Products that are demonstrably superior (as in the Sony tests) can command premium pricing and foster brand loyalty.
4. **Opportunity for Market Leadership**:
- Early adopters of this technology could position themselves as market leaders in high-fidelity products, setting benchmarks and standards within their industries.
5. **Encouragement of Collaborative Innovation**:
- This technology could foster partnerships across different sectors, including academia, research institutions, and commercial enterprises, promoting interdisciplinary innovation.
### Potential Applications
1. **Audio and Visual Equipment**:
- Beyond CDs, Coherence Technology could improve the quality of other media, such as Blu-ray discs, streaming audio, and video, offering a richer, more immersive user experience.
2. **Healthcare**:
- In the medical field, particularly in imaging and diagnostics, enhanced coherence could lead to more precise and clearer images, potentially improving diagnostic accuracy.
3. **Telecommunications**:
- For communications technology, this could mean clearer transmission signals, less interference, and improved overall reliability and performance of networking equipment.
4. **Computing**:
- In computing, particularly at the quantum level, increasing coherence can enhance the stability and efficiency of systems, potentially accelerating the development of quantum computing.
5. **Material Science**:
- The application in material science could lead to the development of new materials with enhanced properties, such as increased strength, improved conductivity, or enhanced durability.
### Measurement and Innovation Progress
The exact measurement of improvements (e.g., the level of noise reduction or the enhancement of coherence in a system) can serve as a key performance indicator (KPI) in research and development. By setting a "time-independent reference" or an exact standard for the measurement of these improvements, innovators can more accurately gauge the efficacy of their developments, ensure consistency, and systematically work towards targeted outcomes in product performance.
**Summary**: Innovators and product developers stand to gain significantly from adopting and integrating Coherence Technology into their products and research. By focusing on measurable improvements and broad applications, they can drive progress not only in their specific products but also in the technological standards of their industries at large.
